Last Friday I styled a shoot for Liverpool photographer Kellie Wilson, You can find Ms Wilson here, wilsonkphotography.wordpress.com, Not only is she super talented she is also amazing to work with and her & myself bounce off each other with our creativity and ideas. The ‘theme’ of the shoot was earthy, quite dark, almost paganistic. I knew immediately what items I would use and what would work well against the different backdrops. The location we decided on was Formby point, It is a stunning place and you have the sand dunes, the beach and the woodland area which is just stunning. We were definitley in our elements with so much choice. The model Rebecca wanted some more shots for her portfolio and as she is naturally a very girly girl, we wanted to bring her out of her comfort zone and try some new looks that were completely different to any of her previous pictures. I pulled some amazing vintage pieces out, Personal favourite being the floor length Vivenne Westwood gown, that is actually my mums! (She has an unbelievable Westwood collection) I thought the strong colour against Beckys blonde hair, the white sand and the blue sky and sea just looked simply amazing. We had a brilliant day, lots of laughter, as it was absolutely freezing and Becky was a pro! Toughing out the cold in a pair of knickers whilst Kellie & I fussed around trying to get the perfect shot. The three of us where thrilled with the shots, I hope you guys like them too. Kellie and I have lots more projects up our sleeve, So watch this space!!
